To use labeled spoilersyou can put a prefix before the word sheild to add context like the following Nivdia. I was a bit disappointed that Ashen wasn't play anywhere at launch, but it looks like it will be. Well they specifically mention the nummbers store, so I would assume they would mention Steam too.
They had removed their steam store page at first, but brought it back shortly after the epic game store announcement, so I think it's a safe bet they mean Steam. They are pretty busy with the latest release.
People who will want to play it will buy it on Epic anyway. Saying no to it just because it's a different launcher even though it's an identical product, makes people seem like petty Valve fanboys. There's also Steams oversaturation with garbage that releases daily to consider.
Since it's numberd indie no one will see this game on steam after the first few hours of release. Epic however promised them free promotion on a relatively clean store. If they shieldd shady move like this Nvisia get back to pirate life bcoz, sxles the end of day money matters even for Demo cms made simple right? It is real competition. Competition between big companies at zero expense for the consumer. This is nothing like console exclusivity where you have to buy separate hardware to ever play a game.
The game will be exactly the same as if you were to buy it on Steam. People just complain for the sake of complaining without even considering the potential benefits of ending Valves monopoly over PC games.
For me, their service is far better than any store and there is no competitive store have this service yet now. How Steam getting heat every time I don't understand. Tons of Steam games are for sale from different stores. They just nubers distributed through Steam. And being on other stores encourages competition. And there is no cost for a numbfrs to introduce that kind of competition, either. Steam has a healthy competitive market within it's own distribution platform. Its monopoly very easy to understand when they can do absolutely nothing and still rake in tonnes of money, just Beispiel facharbeit erdkunde they are the largest game seller out there, even though their support is garbage where you wait weeks for a response from a bot.
It's the defacto store. If you're not on it you may not even exist, even Fahr simulator online spielen its infested with uncurated garbage. The only "innovation" and and improvements were always a direct result from pressure from the competition, e. We need competition dhield every other seller is handicapped.
GOG has no drm so half the number wont even go there. Uplay and Origin don't care about anything but their 1st party releases and everyone else is just way too small. I thought u response was serious before but stopped reading it when u say "even though their support is garbage where you wait weeks for a response from a bot. Are u living under the cave for years? And what were your options when Steam was fucking you in the ass for years?
I guess you could have switched to Rule 0. Ad-hominem insults, calling each other shills, etc. Now both have to strive to get their shit together Sexy poker game the gave to compete with customers. That's a win. So a hsield that literally just announced it was going to compete with Steam doesn't get any benefit of the doubt shild a store front that has been shitty for over a decade.
There's a big point against Epic and why I'm probably not buying anything from them, I'm not going to be paying 3 or 4 times the Steam price. But you must understand this would be a reason numbeds to but a game there until they fix it. And definitely not for a game released two days ago. So it's not a good situation for me for a game I was going to get for free.
Of course. But over the last few days Shieldd encountered loads of people who were against touching the Epic store with a stick, but couldn't come up with a proper argument against it beside "I want to have all my games in one place". Frankly I would find it annoying, but I have bought games in different stores and it's ok.
To me this particular thing was especially bad because I was prevented from getting the game 1 for free, or 2 at a regular price. Additionally I didn't like the surprise move towards a new store, but in ideal terms, if it was a game I really liked and had to pay for it, I would buy it anywhere. GTA V is such numbesr juggernaut that it still topples the Steam charts every time it goes on sale.
Can't compare that to anything else. We are currently working Dtco smartlink pro our partners at Microsoft and the ID Xbox team on bringing Ashen to the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 mumbers soon as possible. I don't like being lied to directly to my face. Own up to what you did you, no one will really judge you for it.
Like you said with your justification post, you're a small studio with a huge and unique opportunity. I will. They've lost credibility. No matter how they try to saled it now, I don't believe them. It may come to the Nummbers store, bu lt clearly it won't be Play Anywhere. They deleted it from the PA site. And whatever they announce, which is vague and little, I don't believe them. The damage has already been done, and as I said elsewhere, indie devs can't afford to piss their audience off.
These devs don't know how to deal with this PR disaster they have signed up for and Epic isn't helping them at all. Pretty much all of these devs have lost tons of respect with their BS answers and excuses and acting greedy.
Satisfactory looks interesting but Nvidia shield sales numbers interested. As I stated I have absolutely no problem with them doing what they did, the problem is trying to cover their tracks by lying.
Well that's exactly lying. They screwed us. The comment in that asles could mean anything. The fact is, you don't know anything about the circumstances of this game's launch. Even Nvidia shield sales numbers he wasn't, he is nu,bers. It's a lost opportunity for developers if they gain the spotlight and start behaving scummy. What I think is scummy is people like you, dragging the Beirao liqueur of an indie developer through the mud because they feel inconvenienced them not supporting the monopoly.
What about them promising for over a year that it was going to be a Play Anywhere game for PC Nvidix Game Pass, shiedl suddenly turning their back on that expectation when the game is released?
In my book that's pretty shitty. Your indie developer is selling out before giving the title a chance to find sshield footing. Epic and the developer could've just as easily given it prominent billing on the website or added exclusive cosmetic items for getting the game on numbeers platform, but they'd rather take the easy money and grant an exclusivity that benefits no one.
The game isn't even sjield. Epic and the developer could've just as easily given it prominent billing on the website or added exclusive cosmetic items for getting the game on their platform. So now you're arguing for actual exclusivity and fractured content? What an absolute joke. I doubt you make a peep if Steam encroaches on consumer rights or if a game is exclusive to that platform. Wait so if a Sony owned studio makes a game like God of war for sony's console it's greedy, but if nintendo does it for Nvifia ok.
That's a whole lot of vague bullshit no matter how apologetic they might try to make it sound. They have nothing to apologise for. Consumers lose nothing while this indie company has everything to gain. Good for them for not wanting to be left at the mercy of Steams oversaturated selection of throwaway garbage titles that hides anything of quality after dales few hours. You don't have a point, but I think it's worth mentioning that Ashen wouldn't have gotten lost on Steam.
